About the role 
This residential position works a 7/7 roster working 12 hours per shift. 
The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the planned maintenance/repairs of FGM's light vehicle fleet in accordance with site procedures and maintenance standards. 
Reporting to the Light Vehicle Supervisor, your duties will include: 
Maintenance and repairs of all Underground and Surface Light Vehicles including Trucks 
Maintain high levels of safety and environment standards 
Accurate reporting of faults found and completion of maintenance records via site CMMS (Pronto) 
Ensure workshop tooling and standards are maintained 
Provide diagnostic fault finding on breakdowns 
Promote safety and environmental management practices 
Offer technical support to other staff members 
The successful candidate should possess the following: 
Mechanical Trade Qualification 
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an automotive trade position servicing, repairs and maintaining 4x4 Light Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles 
Demonstrated commitment to safety 
Self-motivated employee with a positive attitude 
Good communication skills, willing to work as part of a team 
Valid Manual Drivers Licence
