Programme Facilitator – Richmond Playcentre

Formed in 1941, Te Whānau Tupu Ngātahi o Aotearoa – Playcentre Aotearoa is a licensed early childhood education provider and charitable trust. With a philosophy of empowering 'parents as first educators', Playcentre seeks to empower whānau and tamariki to work, play, learn and grow together, and today has over 400 centres nationwide.

About the role

As a Programme Facilitator, you lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of our Space sessions. You strive to create engaging, nurturing experiences for whānau and pēpi.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Planning and setup of the sessions ensuring any equipment is safe and clean
* Leading discussions, music and movement, play, crafts, and kai time
* Building relationships with whānau and contributing to a safe, welcoming environment
* Ensuring session admin tasks are completed in a timely manner

Position details

* Commences on 11 February 2026
* This is a fixed term role during school term time only ending 24 September 2026
* Thursdays 12:00pm – 3:30pm, 3.5 hours per week
* Supporting an additional programme introduced due to exceptional early‐year demand. Continuation of this role is dependent on future enrolment levels

About you

You are reliable, work well with others, and feel confident supporting whānau in a group setting. This role offers a chance to build your experience, develop new skills, and make a positive impact in families' parenting journeys.

You will also have:

* Minimum Course 3 of the Playcentre Education Diploma or equivalent ECE Qualification (L4 or above desired)
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Proven ability to engage confidently and build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Strong organisational capabilities, including time management, meeting deadlines, multitasking, and balancing detail with overall objectives.
* NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
