Analyst, Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability

Location - This role is based in Parramatta and offers hybrid working arrangements in line with departmental policy, with approximately 50% of workdays expected to be onsite.

Employment type – Ongoing full-time role

Salary - $113,574.00 - $125,719.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading

Your role

The Analyst in Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability plays a key role in supporting departmental initiatives through the management of technology systems and the delivery of data driven research and analysis. The position enables informed decision making, supports performance reporting, and contributes to project planning and delivery—particularly in areas linked to sustainability, climate resilience, and asset management capability uplift across DCJ.

What you'll do

This position plays a critical role in supporting strategic and operational goals through the effective management of systems and data, enabling informed decision-making and ensuring compliance with organisational objectives. It contributes to the successful execution of initiatives while fostering collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.

* Administer and manage complex systems and data to maintain integrity, security, and compliance.
* Collect and analyse financial and non-financial data to generate actionable insights.
* Support delivery of projects enhancing infrastructure, sustainability outcomes, climate resilience, and security.
* Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
* Assist in preparing reports, briefings, and insights for executive leadership and governance committees.
* Contribute to capability building and continuous improvement activities across the team.

You will be joining a dynamic and collaborative team within the Strategy, Innovation and Sustainability unit at DCJ. What we're looking for

We're looking for candidates with strong analytical skills, experience in systems administration and data analysis, and a collaborative mindset. A background in infrastructure, sustainability, or asset management is highly desirable.

This role requires a high engagement with stakeholders across DCJ, the Communities and Justice portfolio of agencies, to support the achievement of key strategic and operational objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role should strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills to support strategic initiatives and deliver data-driven insights. This role requires experience in data analysis, asset management, and stakeholder engagement.

The essential requirements of this role include relevant tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline and/or demonstrated experience and knowledge of data analysis or asset management.
