About the role The Connected Kids Nurse Consultant provides expert paediatric nursing leadership to children with complex health and disability needs.
The role drives clinical decision-making, care planning and safe discharge, working autonomously and advising multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.
Key duties of the role Deliver expert paediatric nursing care and lead complex case management.
Drive safe, effective discharge and hospital-avoidance pathways.
Advise clinical teams and shape protocols using advanced evidence-based practice.
Lead quality, safety and risk processes to strengthen service outcomes.
Build capability through education, mentorship and clinical leadership.
Skills and Experience Registered Nurse/Midwife with current AHPRA registration.
Minimum 3+ years post-registration clinical experience.
Proven leadership, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong capability in complex paediatric care and discharge planning.
Solid knowledge of standards, legislation and quality frameworks.
