I'm looking looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team where on-premises infrastructure is at the heart of everything we do. You will be working within complex, enterprise-grade on-prem environments, driving automation, building robust CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers critical business systems.
The ideal candidate brings 3-5 years of DevOps experience, has a strong on-prem foundation, and knows the difference between configuring a hypervisor and spinning up a VM in a cloud console. You care about reliability, automation, and doing things the right way.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
* Manage VMware / vSphere infrastructure
* Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (Ansible, Terraform)
* Support OpenShift / Kubernetes (on-prem)
* Automate operations and improve system reliability
* Monitor systems, respond to incidents, and optimise performance
* Collaborate with engineering teams to improve delivery outcomes
Required Experience
* 3-5 years in DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering
* Strong VMware / on-prem data centre experience
* Solid Linux administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.)
* Hands-on Ansible and Terraform (on-prem use)
* Experience with Jenkins / GitLab CI pipelines
* Kubernetes / OpenShift in on-prem environments
* Good understanding of containers, networking, and deployment strategies
