We are seeking a passionate and skilled Psychologist to join our growing Psychology team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, trauma informed psychology services to the community. About the role
As a Family Services Australia (FSA) Psychologist, you will provide direct psychological services to vulnerable children, young people, adults, and families. Services are delivered through a mix of face-to-face and telehealth, including assessment, individual and group therapy.
You will manage a balanced caseload that effectively supports both clinician wellbeing and effective response to service demand, while working with a high level of professional autonomy. The role operates within a trauma-informed framework and places strong emphasis on collaboration, clinical integrity and positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivery high-quality psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions
* Provide individual and group therapy using evidence-based approached
* Work within a trauma-informed, strengths-based and client-centered framework
* Maintain accurate, ethical and timely documentation
* Monitor and evaluate client outcomes and service effectiveness
* Collaborate proactively with multidisciplinary team members across FSA service streams
* Build and maintain strong partnership with external stakeholders and healthcare professionals
* Participate in regular clinical consultation and reflective practice
* Contribute to the ongoing development and quality improvement of FSA Psychology services.
Essential requirements
* General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated ability to collaboratively plan and coordinate individualised psychological interventions.
* Demonstrated ability to provide high quality and evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention.
* Experience working from a trauma-informed framework and ensuring a high standard of care, quality assurance, and risk management for all clients.
* Demonstrated capacity to manage a caseload with varied and complex presentations.
* Strong clinical formulation skills and flexibility in delivery of interventions to meet the dynamic nature of intervention.
* Demonstrated capacity to implement principles of reflective practice and self-care within a team
* Excellent organisation, time management, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated capacity for proactive liaison with relevant stakeholders
* Current Working with Children Check
* Current unrestricted Driver’s Licence
