This is a Full Time, Fixed Term position until 31 December 2026. About the Role An exciting opportunity exists to join the VECRA in the Governance and Corporate Support Branch as Senior Analyst within the Business Systems & Review Unit (BSRU). BSRU is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving VECRA's business and information management systems and technology, including administration of the national early childhood database (NQA ITS) on behalf of VECRA It is responsible for ensuring VECRA has ready access to high-quality early childhood education and care data and reports. BSRU is also responsible for maintaining a VECRA's corporate service activities and business assurance and oversight processes including risk management, business planning and performance reporting. Requirements of the Senior Analyst role include: * Monitoring and reporting on emerging risks, projects, programs and regulatory activity. * Undertaking reviews, inquiries and analysis to develop evidence-based solutions to emerging issues. * Monitoring and reporting on regulatory performance. * Effectively engaging with stakeholders to support the delivery of business process improvements. * Implementation and maintenance of internal policy controls and technology and project governance. * As required, management and or support of various projects and programs related to BSRU's activities and functions. * Providing leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results. * Providing project level analysis (business requirements, scope matrix, etc). * Serving as a liaison between various stakeholders to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancements and implementations. * Being highly proficient in the use of information management systems, new technologies and data extraction, manipulation and visualisation. * Supporting the up-take and administration of national and VECRA systems. * Preparing high level briefings and reports to senior management on programs and activities undertaken by BSRU. About the Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA) The Victorian Early Childhood Regulatory Authority (VECRA) is the statutory authority responsible for regulating early childhood education and care services in Victoria. VECRA works to ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of children through effective regulation, compliance, quality assessment and continuous improvement across the early childhood sector. VECRA plays a critical system management role, providing guidance, oversight and assurance to the sector while supporting high-quality early childhood education outcomes for Victorian children and families. About the Branch The Governance & Corporate Support Branch provides VECRA with essential corporate, governance and business support services. The Branch oversees risk management, performance reporting, finance, human resources, business planning, Freedom of Information, and key compliance projects. It maintains VECRA's governance frameworks, ensures legislative and regulatory obligations are met, and supports organisational capability, workforce planning and culture.
