Research Scientist Role
Job Overview
This role focuses on conducting experiments and supervising junior team members to achieve significant milestones in molecular biology research.
* Multiple concurrent experiment management and supervision of junior team members.
* Molecular biology assays such as DNA/RNA purification, qPCR, and Western blotting.
* Design, clone, produce, and use recombinant AAV vectors.
* Laboratory operations maintenance and standard operating procedures preparation.
* Applications to research committees and scientific manuscripts preparation.
Key Qualifications
* A PhD or MD degree with experience in molecular cloning, DNA/RNA biology, and cell culture.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
* A strong neuroscience background is preferred, with experience in design and cloning of mammalian expression cassettes desirable.
