Role Overview
Join the Brighter Beginnings Health and Development Checks team in South Western Sydney Local Health District. We are seeking Clinical Nurse Specialists, Grade 2, to provide health and developmental screening in early education settings, and to deliver assessment, intervention, capacity building and direct care pathways for children in SWSLHD. You will work with a small multidisciplinary team to deliver a family‐centred service, in consultation with clients and carers/families, and support the team through leadership and knowledge sharing.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership and clinical skills, professionalism, teamwork and flexibility in a fast‐paced environment. Responsibilities include contributing to multidisciplinary care, delivering evidence‐based clinical practices, and supporting the team and clients/families to achieve outcomes.
Qualifications and Selection Criteria
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Relevant post‐registration qualifications and at least 3 years (full‐time equivalent) experience in the clinical area of the specified postgraduate qualification, or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation.
* Ability to take responsibility and accountability for clinical practice, critical reflection, professional development and performance review; competent in autonomous decision‐making and delivering complex care within clinical practice guidelines.
* Act in accordance with the NSW Health Code of Conduct and communicate in a person‐centred manner with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team.
* Practice in accordance with legislation, standards for nursing, and ethical codes, and actively participate in the support, teaching, coaching and development of others.
* Australian C‐Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). NSW residents holding a license from another state must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
