KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Visibly support and champion Peabody’s Missions and Values Act in accordance with and adhere to Safety as a Way of Life Management SystemIdentify underground maintenance requirements and improvementsEnsure adequate resources are available for meeting scheduled and repair/breakdown maintenanceAct as subject matter expert for electrical shutdowns to optimize costs and availabilityLiaise with operations departments to ensure optimal equipment and plant availabilityWork with site/multi-site support engineers to assist in resolution of technical maintenance issuesLiaise with procurement/stores/logistics to oversee inventory and ensure availability of required materials for maintenanceEnsure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirementsOther duties as assigned by the company
Experience
2 years of experience in electrical maintenance of mine equipment required

Physical Requirements - Surface Environment
Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shiftMust have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehiclesMust have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and laddersMust have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHAMust have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms/legs and good hand to eye coordinationMust have the ability to lift/raise 10 – 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the work shiftMust have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light/dark, in and around artificial light, and in a confined work areaMust have the ability to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evening and nights, with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)
Physical Requirements - Underground Environment
Must have the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time on uneven, rocky surfaces for up to the entire length of the shiftMust have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehiclesMust have the ability to walk for up to 4 hours at a time. Will be required to walk through different sections of the mine with varying degrees of clearance and headroomMust have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHAMust have the ability to bend or stoop for a full work period as a result of mine heightMust have the ability to climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and laddersMust have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms/legs and good hand to eye coordinationMust have the ability to lift 25 – 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and the ability to occasionally lift items weighing up to 80 lbs.Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light/dark, in and around artificial light, and in a confined work areaMust have the ability to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evening and nights, with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)

Education
Trade Certificate required High School Degree or GED Equivalent required
