Primary objective
Contributes to the development and implementation of projects and robust performance management processes for the Territory
Community Safety Coordination Centre (TCSCC). This position is responsible for progressing short term projects and objectives,
including assisting in reporting to identify performance considerations and assessments.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Assist in prioritising deliverables and develop project plans to ensure objectives of the TCSCC meet the strategic objects of
reducing antisocial behaviour and related offending impacts on the community.
1. Ensure project objectives and planning support risk assessment, service delivery requirement, and performance reporting.
2. Assist in leading patrol networks and undertake taskings from coordination groups and forums to deliver regionally specific and
relevant projects and priorities addressing alcohol misuse, substance abuse, antisocial behaviour, and related offending.
1. Draft briefing papers, project plans, and reports in relation to service delivery aimed at reducing alcohol related crime and anti-
social behaviour and related offending.
1. Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of performance reporting processes to ensure alignment with
organisational priorities and strategic direction.
6. Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support effective delivery of the
functions of the TCSCC.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in creating plans and strategies that align organisational priorities and business unit objectives such as through
business planning, goal planning, or reporting.
2. Experience in drafting project management documentation, and an understanding of project management principles in
delivering short term or time limited objectives, including monitoring and evaluation of program elements.
1. High quality written and oral communication skills, able to prepare quality briefing materials and communicate clearly to a range
of audiences. Possesses sound organisational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality projects within tight
deadlines.
1. Demonstrated ability to think critically and apply problem solving skills, and ability to build and sustain productive working
relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support performance outcomes.
Desirable
1. Tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a relevant field.
2. Sound understanding of community safety, policing, and crime reporting in the Northern Territory context.
Further information
The role may be required to assist in community events in regional and remote areas, which may include travel via 4WD, aircraft
or light vehicle. Travel allowances will apply; however hours may include outside of work hours. The successful applicant must
