The opportunity
Join a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to mitigating bushfire risks and protecting communities. As a Bushfire Mitigation Advisor, you'll play a pivotal role in implementing essential mitigation services and supporting our city's strategic objectives for bushfire risk management. This is your chance to contribute to meaningful initiatives that safeguard lives and property.
The successful applicant must have
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in bushfire mitigation in a local government environment or similar.
* Qualified Fire Control Officer.
* DFES Level 1 Firefighter pathway (or ability to obtain it).
* Experience working within Local Government Emergency Service teams and Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades or similar.
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge of bushfire risk management.
* Knowledge of environmental and sustainability principles and their practical application.
* You must possess a current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence and produce a police clearance that is less than 3 months old.
