The Opportunity

We\'re looking for a commercially driven Trade Business Development Manager to own and grow a defined portfolio of trade partners across Perth and Adelaide. Based in Perth with regular travel to Adelaide, this is a senior role that goes well beyond relationship management—you\'ll be accountable for sustainable trade growth through disciplined portfolio management, strong showroom integration, and proactive commercial leadership.

Partnering closely with showroom teams, regional leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders, you\'ll drive revenue quality, partner retention, and specification confidence across residential and selected commercial channels.

This role is measured by outcomes: portfolio growth, conversion, partner depth, and execution quality.

The Role

* Own and grow a defined trade portfolio, prioritising high-value, high-growth partners
* Drive sustainable residential trade growth, with selective commercial and developer-led opportunities
* Manage trade pipeline end-to-end with clear visibility of stages, risks, and timing
* Partner with showroom teams to embed trade selling as a core capability, not a parallel channel
* Coach showroom consultants on trade selling, specification-led conversations, and trade scripts
* Act as a senior point of contact for key trade partners across the full project lifecycle
* Proactively manage service issues, escalations, and disruptions with credibility and care
* Own commercial objectives and outcomes of trade events, activations, and roadshows
* Maintain accurate CRM records and translate pipeline data into clear insights and actions
* Lead structured onboarding for new trade partners, upholding King Trade program discipline

About You

* Proven experience in senior trade sales or business development within furniture, interiors, or the A&D industry will be highly regarded.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and grow a defined customer portfolio with commercial accountability
* The ability to travel interstate regularly and we provide the appropriate travel allowances to accommodate this.
* Strong commercial judgement with the ability to prioritise partners, time, and opportunities effectively
* Data-literate and confident using CRM, PowerBI, and reporting tools to manage performance
* Ability to coach, influence, and hold internal teams accountable in a collaborative manner
* Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
* Comfortable operating in complexity and ambiguity while maintaining structure and discipline
