About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking experienced Personal Care Workers to support elderly residents at a residential aged care facility located in Clayton. This is a rewarding opportunity for caring, reliable and compassionate individuals who are passionate about delivering quality care and supporting residents to feel safe, respected and connected. The role will involve providing person-centred care that respects each resident's individual needs, preferences, culture, traditions and daily routines.
Day‐to‐Day Responsibilities
* Providing personal care to elderly residents
* Assisting with activities of daily living
* Providing mobility assistance
* Assisting residents with eating and drinking
* Keeping accurate and up-to-date care records
* Observing residents' conditions and reporting any concerns
* Encouraging residents to make their own choices and decisions
* Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support
* Supporting residents in a respectful, dignified and caring manner
About You
* Certificate III in Individual Support – Ageing, or equivalent
* Minimum 1 year of experience in aged care or a similar care environment
* Previous experience providing personal care in residential aged care or home and community care
* A caring, respectful and team-oriented attitude
* Strong empathy, communication and problem-solving skills
* A genuine commitment to delivering quality care to elderly residents
* Full working rights in Australia
* Bilingual skills in English and Greek will be highly regarded
