As a Solutions Architect at AWS you will work directly with retail customers, helping them gain a competitive edge using AWS. You will provide exceptional technical design guidance and thought leadership, influence customers' architectural choices across security, compute, storage networking, and advanced scenarios involving serverless, analytics, and AI/ML, and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community.
You will have the opportunity to learn from, collaborate with, and educate some of the brightest minds in the industry across enterprise architecture.
Responsibilities
* Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects for large Retail & CPG enterprises.
* Work cross-organizationally to facilitate widespread use and adoption of the AWS platform.
* Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and broad know-how on how to construct applications and services on the AWS platform.
* Shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS within target customers.
* Represent AWS well within customer environments, drive discussions with senior personnel on trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.
* Capture and share best-practice knowledge with the AWS solution architect community.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
* 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
* 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience.
* Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
* Experience working or consulting in the retail sector.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
