Cranbourne West Secondary College abuts rapidly growing residential areas in the suburb of Cranbourne. The school will work in partnership with the community to provide authentic learning opportunities and best academic and personal outcomes for all students. Cranbourne West Secondary College in the rapidly growing suburb of Cranbourne opening in January 2021 with 198 Year 7 enrolments. Selection Criteria


SC1 Capacity to undertake routine tasks across a range of functions in one or more work areas within a school environment.

SC2 Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students.

SC3 Capacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support, students and parents

SC4 Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position.


Role

* Cleaning experience
* A current Working with Children¿s Check or ability to obtain one is essential
* Valid driver¿s licence and reliable vehicle is preferred
* Knowledge of and ability to work according to Occupational Health and Safety principles
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal method
* Good communication skills as you will need to deal with staff and student¿s premises


Responsibilities

* Hours of the role 9.30am until 2.30pm (Monday to Friday)
* Monitoring student toilets
* Cleaning student toilets which would include graffiti removal, re-stocking of toilet paper, soap etc.
* Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors
* Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
* Assist the facilities team with additional cleaning requirements such as cleaning of tables and chairs, rubbish collection and emptying of bins
* Other duties as determined by the Business Manager and/or Principal
