Youth Worker Role

As a Youth Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young people and support them in developing living and life skills.
* Assist young people in developing living and life skills.
* Model and reinforce positive behavior through social learning, responsibility, and emotional intelligence.
* Promote democracy and support young people's participation in decision-making processes.
* Support children and young people in accommodation services, including household duties such as cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation.

Key Selection Criteria
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* A Diploma of Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent qualification.
* Experience or willingness to participate in training for Aboriginal staff, with a qualification being desirable.
* Experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation.
* Understanding of Aboriginal culture, values, and current issues faced by Aboriginal children and families.
* Experience working therapeutically with children and young people facing significant challenges and trauma.
