About The Role

CPBS is seeking an experienced full-time or part-time Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our forward-thinking and dedicated team in Bendigo. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you'll report to the relevant Regional Clinical Manager. You'll play a crucial role in conducting assessments, writing behavioural support plans and programmes, assisting with the implementation of plans, and supervising other practitioners. The work is based on the principles of Multi-Element Behaviour Support (MEBS) and Positive Behaviour Support for children and adults in the home, community, and school/workplace settings.

What You'll Do

* Make positive and distinct changes to the lives of others by developing and maintaining relationships
* Provide direct behavioural interventions in individual and group sessions
* Develop Functional Behavioural Assessments and Behaviour Analysis Support Plans
* Provide support and training to colleagues, caregivers, and support workers on clinical techniques
* Partner with various professionals including doctors, psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop and implement individualised client goals and checklists
* Adhere to legislative requirements regarding timely and accurate report writing and documentation
* Complete introductory IABA training in Non-Linear Multi-element Positive Behaviour Support

Skills and Experiences:

What You'll Need

* A bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate qualifications related to Positive Behaviour Support
* Hold or can obtain an NDIS Practitioner ID, NDIS Workers Screening Check, and Working with Children Check
* Proven experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Behaviour Analyst, or Behaviour Therapist
* Ability to prepare and finalise technical reports in a timely manner, with high-level verbal and written communication skills
* Effective time management skills, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Hold a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
* Willingness to make a significant difference in the lives of the people and families we support
