Position Summary
The Senior Administration Officer is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the operations team, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing high-level support to site management. This role includes supervising Site Administrators, optimising administrative processes, and ensuring seamless communication between departments. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic mining environment. The Senior Administration Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the site, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the company.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support to mine site management, ensuring timely and accurate completion of administrative tasks. Oversee and manage Site Administrators. Ensure reception is well-maintained and operates efficiently. Perform clerical and receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and document management. Manage and maintain an adequate stock of office supplies and consumables. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and mining industry requirements. Prepare and distribute internal communications, reports, and presentations for management. Liaise with external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information
Qualifications And Skills
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in administrative leadership roles, preferably in mining, construction, or heavy industry. Strong knowledge of mine site administration, safety compliance, and regulatory requirements. Experience with Pronto and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong leadership and team management experience. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
