The Pastry Lab is a busy, much-loved Sunshine Coast institution, known for our pastries, bread and cakes (and for the lines out the door most mornings). We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Pastry Chef to join our production team and learn the craft in a high-volume, professional kitchen.
You'll be working closely with our owner and Head Pastry Chef Chris, alongside an experienced pastry chef, gaining hands-on experience across pastry, bread and cake production.

What You'll Learn & Do
* Assist with daily production of pastries, bread and cakes
* Learn recipes, techniques and production workflows
* Support senior chefs with preparation and baking
* Maintain cleanliness, organisation and food safety standards
* Develop speed, consistency and confidence over time
About You
* A genuine interest in pastry, baking and desserts
* Reliable, punctual and willing to work early starts
* Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
* Comfortable in a busy kitchen environment
* Enrolled in (or willing to enrol in) a pastry apprenticeship
Hours & Conditions
* Tuesday–Saturday
* Full-time apprenticeship
* Early morning starts (from around 4:00am)
* Award apprentice wages
