Plant Inspection Specialist
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled Plant Inspection Specialist to join their team in Western Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections and compliance services for major processing plant projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform statutory inspections and condition assessments of pressure vessels, tanks, piping, cranes, and other plant equipment in accordance with Australian Standards and statutory requirements.
* Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and recommendations to support repair, refurbishment, or replacement decisions.
* Support engineering teams through lifecycle asset inspections, design reviews, and risk-based inspection planning.
* Liaise with clients, project teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and documentation integrity.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of internal inspection systems and QA/QC processes.
Requirements:
* WA Registered Plant Inspector accreditation (WorkSafe WA registration).
* Strong understanding of applicable Australian Standards and mining industry regulations.
* Demonstrated experience inspecting plant in processing and heavy industrial environments.
* Background in mechanical or structural engineering preferred.
* Strong report writing and communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously on site or as part of a broader engineering team.
