Regional Sales Director Job Summary:
We are seeking a sales professional to lead our sales efforts in the ANZ region, focusing on optical solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of sales experience in telecommunications, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
The successful candidate will report to the Country Manager and be supported by an experienced pre-sales engineer. Our client is a global provider of Communications Software, IP, and optical networking solutions for Service Providers, Enterprises, and Critical Infrastructure sectors.
* Develop and execute a sales strategy for Tier 2 Service Provider Accounts, Channels, and Enterprise verticals (mining, utilities, transport, data center interconnect).
* Recruit & train new channel partners to develop pipeline
* Identify top direct and indirect sales opportunities to build a sales plan to exceed quota
* Maintain Salesforce and submit regular reports to management with forecast
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
* 10+ years of sales experience in telecommunications industry.
* Established customer relationships and proven ability to build new trusted relationships in Tier 2 Service Providers and Enterprise verticals.
* Demonstrated record of accomplishment of exceeding sales targets in highly competitive environment.
* Ability to work remotely, independently and manage all sales activities for all accounts.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Able to find creative solutions to complex problems.
* Willing to travel up to 20% of the time as needs of business dictate.
