Bay Leaf Cafe and Restaurant is a restaurant situated at Wagga Wagga, NSW and it is now seeking a passionate & innovative Chef to support its business growth. You are expected to have strong communication skills and a strong attention to detail, to understand the requirements for food preparation to prescribed standards, together with maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment. The successful applicant needs to have related experience, a passion for creative food, be able to construct & cost menus, be able to work quickly & efficiently in a busy environment.
Key responsibilities - Prepare food according to Bayleaf restaurant and café's recipe - Cook pasta, steak, seafood, burger - cook breakfast and plating - Examine food to ensure quality - Regulate temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment - Season foods during cooking - Portion food, places it in dishes, add gravies or sauces and garnish - Store food in temperature control facilities - complete given preps - Train other kitchen staff and apprentices - Cutting raw fish and meat
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS Certificate IV in hospitality; or Certificate III in hospitality and/ or at least three years of relevant experience

Pay: $76,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
