This position is well suited to someone who is a Registered Midwife and/or Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA) With a minimum of three years' experience in midwifery and maternal health and who has an understanding of Aboriginal cultural values, and commitment to the advancement and self-determination of Aboriginal communities.Established in 1998,Katherine West Health Boardis an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation that provides a range of clinical, preventative and public health services to clients in the Katherine West Region of the Northern Territory. With four major health care centres and a range of satellite centres, KWHB services an area over two times the size of Tasmania (162,000km ), helping to improve the health and wellbeing of some of the most remote communities in Australia.The Senior Maternal and Women's Health Advisor will oversee the Maternal and Women's Health program at KWHB, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based antenatal, postnatal, and women's health services.
