Randstad Digital are working with a large, global organisation to find an enthusiastic and ambitious Data Scientist/Analyst to join a high-performing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career with 3-4 years of experience who is eager to grow and develop within a leading global resources company. You will be instrumental in leveraging data to drive key business decisions and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver impactful Power BI reports to visualise complex data and provide actionable insights.
* Utilise strong SQL skills to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets.
* Apply data science methodologies to solve real-world problems within the heavy industry (utilities, mining) sector.
* Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and tools.
Necessary Skills:
* 3-4 years of experience in a Data Scientist or similar role.
* Strong proficiency in SQL.
* Demonstrated ability to create and present Power BI reports (examples will be required as proof of technical skills).
* Proficiency in Python.
* Experience in heavy industry (utilities, mining) or consulting firms.
* Excellent soft skills, including strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
* Honesty and transparency regarding your technical skill set, enabling us to effectively engage and train you.
