Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator
This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality assurance and control standards are met throughout all phases of construction and maintenance in a live operational environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Australian Standards for welding, civil and structural works. They will also have experience with working on brownfield projects involving heavy industry, smelting, mining, or oil & gas.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced QA Coordinator to oversee the implementation of the Quality Management System for brownfield upgrades. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining project-specific Installation and Testing Plans (ITPs), checklists, and QA documentation.
The successful candidate will work closely with Supervisors to ensure all activities meet quality assurance standards. They will monitor subcontractor compliance to project specifications, codes, and standards.
* Develop, implement and maintain project specific ITPs, checklists, and QA documentation.

* Provide final inspection of construction work and create a list of outstanding punchlist items if required.
Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Trade or Engineering background in Mechanical, Structural or Electrical disciplines.
* Minimum 5-8 years QA/QC experience in heavy industry brownfield projects.
* A strong understanding of Australian Standards for welding, civil and structural works.
* QA/QC experience in smelting, mining, or oil & gas projects highly regarded.
* Experience with working with ITPs and QA/QC documentation.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:
* Conduct site audits and manage NCRs, corrective/preventative actions.
* Coordinate third-party inspections and testing (NDT, weld inspection, etc).
* Document non-conformances.
* Ensure all QA information is compiled and provide completed workpacks back to the client post construction activities.
Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
Required Skills
Knowledge of Australian Standards for welding, civil and structural works.
Experience with working on brownfield projects involving heavy industry, smelting, mining, or oil & gas.
Ability to interpret drawings, P&IDs, SLDs, and technical specifications.
Strong reporting, communication, and coordination skills.
