CIVIL DESIGN PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (Transmission Line)Published on April 23, 2025 12:00 AMRegion: Head OfficeNumber of vacancies: 1Key Responsibilities:Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the conduct of the more complex detail design on Transmission Line Project and proactively identify special solutions that innovatively solve unique and complex Transmission Line design problems.
Contribute to the development and execution of the Section's strategy and may lead engineering design composite teams for Transmission Line project.Prepares Technical Design Standard for transmission line electrical design procedures;Prepares documentary requirements for Regulatory Compliance of transmission line portions in all projects;Prepares and consolidates complex detail design activities, i.e electrical design criteria and design parameters, transmission line layout(overhead, submarine and underground installation) spotting of plan and profile, sag and tension tables and chart, template for structure spotting, structures, hardware, insulators and connectors drawings, equipment/material dimensioning, complex design studies, bill of materials, technical data sheets, specifications and production of construction drawings (electrical portion)of various transmission line portions in all projects;Evaluates and checks complex design documents: design criteria, drawings, design reports, technical provisions, technical datasheets, plans, calculations sheets and other documents submitted by contractors, manufacturers/suppliers and project proponents in accordance with the bidding documents of transmission line portions in all projects;Undertakes completion of the bid documents for transmission line projects;Facilitates inter-disciplinary design review adhering to design specification, guidelines and standards for transmission line projects;Conducts actual inspection of transmission line routes/sites, coordination meetings and other complex design-related activities on various stages of the project implementation and collaborates with Section Head in assessing technical problems on the construction and/or operation and recommends solutions to problems;Conducts research activities to keep abreast with technological developments in transmission line design.Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Civil EngineeringLicensed Electrical EngineerThree (3) years of relevant experience in transmission line designHas advanced knowledge and skills in the application of theories, standards, practices and concepts in the field of electrical designGood verbal and written communication skillsHas advanced knowledge in CAD software (AutoCAD, ZWCad, etc) and electrical design software (PLS-CADD)
