Deliverables
- Develop the complete visual concept and layout for a martial arts-themed coffee table book
- Design engaging page spreads, cover, and typography that reflect martial arts culture
- Collaborate on image selection, placement, and integration of text and graphics
- Prepare print-ready files and ensure all design elements meet high-quality publishing standards
- Communicate progress and incorporate feedback throughout the design process
Requirements
- Proven experience designing books, preferably coffee table or art books
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative layout, typography, and visual storytelling
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver polished, print-ready files
- Understanding of martial arts culture or willingness to research and incorporate relevant themes
- Ability to work independently and manage project timelines
- Remote work capability; Tokyo or Singapore familiarity is a plus but not required
