An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent part time Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. Come and join a supportive team in a recently-redeveloped hospital, which features Pyxis MedStations and a dispensing robot. You will be part of a team that is responsible for medication provision to patients of the hospital through dispensing and distribution activities.

Where you'll be working
This position is primarily at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, but as the management is also responsible for pharmacy services at Mona Vale Hospital, there may be opportunities to work at another site.
What you'll be doing
Your duties will include dispensing of inpatient and outpatient medications, including PBS prescription processing for Opioid Treatment Program patients. Other activities include drug distribution and refilling of Pyxis Medstations and inventory management.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* Completion of a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Hospital Pharmacy Assistance or relevant qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent (Technician grades only)
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to perform basic arithmetical calculations. Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations (technical grades only).
* Computer literacy, including ability to use MS Office applications.
