About the role
As a full-time Commercial shopfront fabricator and installer at Smart Shopfronts, you will play a crucial role in the design, fabrication and installation of high-quality commercial shopfronts in Canberra and surrounding areas. What you'll be doing
1. Fabricate and install everything glass and aluminium and associated hardware
2. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and installation of shop fronts
3. Collaborate with the design and project management teams to deliver successful project outcomes
4. Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations
5. Provide exceptional customer service and liaise with clients throughout the installation process
6. Assist with the maintenance and repair of existing commercial shop fronts as required
What we're looking for
1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a glazier or carpenter.
2. Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
3. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for shopfront fabrication and installation
4. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard of finish
5. Strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the project team and clients
6. Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to risk management
7. A valid manual driver's licence and reliable transport to travel to workshop (company car and tools to be taken from there to site)
