About the role
The Mechanical Fitter (Afternoon shift roster) roleis a Full-time position, based at Wantirna South, Victoria. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager at our manufacturing site, you will be working Monday to Friday on the afternoon roster (2pm-10pm) assisting with general maintenance and breakdown work.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or Boilermaker Certificate, have good attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Complete planned maintenance tasks.
* Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
* General machining
* Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor.
* Mechanical Fitting, maintenance related to conveyors, strappers,Kiln rails, extruder,bricks handling machinery ,conveyors, bearings rollers etc.
* Fabrication-Simple stick and MiG welding
* Competence in Welding
* Machine tools - Occasional use of milling machine, lathe and pedestal drill.
* Exposure to Hydraulics
* Strong Safety standards. Conversant in Take 2, JSEA Safety tools.
* Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
