Metso is seeking an experienced Estimator to support our Fabrication and Assembly East Region. This role is critical in delivering accurate and timely cost estimates, supporting Technical Sales, and ensuring exceptional customer service across our internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for pricing RFQs, preparing quotations and supporting tender activity. Working closely with Technical Sales Support, Production and Supply teams, you will help maximise commercial opportunities while ensuring accuracy, compliance and responsiveness.
What You'll Do:
* Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates using CRM and data management systems
* Support Technical Sales Support to minimise RFQ response times
* Maximise opportunities to convert estimates into purchase orders
* Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
* Capture and maintain quotation and costing calculations for all RFQs
* Source cost‐effective pricing from approved vendors
* Prepare and submit quotations and assist with tenders as required
* Ensure estimates and quotations comply with financial approval limits
* Maintain estimate and job files in line with company procedures
* Provide product and pricing support to Technical Sales when required
* Complete post‐job and lost‐job cost analysis to improve future estimates
* Support Production through order validation activities
What You'll Bring:
* Previous experience in estimating, costing or commercial support roles
* Background in fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or a related industry
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* Experience working with CRM and costing systems
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* A customer‐focused and commercially minded approach
