We work with equal opportunity employers and welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including those with disabilities or who suffer from mental health.Attending to the needs of the guest and of the Hotel whilst ensuring rooms are serviced to the required standard.Employer looking to fill roles in:PrestonMoonee PondsNorth MelbourneMelbourneBurnleySouthbankSouth YarraTorquayYarra GlenDocklandsRole Outline:RelationshipsActioning guest requests promptlyEnsuring security and care of guest belongings and hotel propertyCompleting allocated rooms within the allocated timeReplenishing and controlling guest supplies and amenities including bathroom amenities, mini bar, towels and linenPreparing each room to the required standardRotating and replacing room items in accordance with set requirements such as mattress protectors, bedspreads, and pillowsReporting missing items from guest rooms e.g kettle, cups, glasses, irons, hangersPresenting guest rooms as per Hotel standardProviding buddy training when directed by the manager/supervisorFollowing company policies and procedure manualsReporting maintenance required in roomsSafety:Maintain safe and hygienic work practicesReport any hazards, accidents/incidents or related matters to Housekeeping SupervisorParticipate in consultation / communication regarding OH&S issues and provide feedbackGeneral:Attending all training as required by the HotelAdhering to Hotel direction and following all Hotel policies and proceduresDeclaring all lost property and following lost property proceduresAttending morning briefings and periodic Housekeeping meetingsReading and actioning daily worksheetRecording room status; do not disturb rooms, room moves and room changesMaintaining all equipment such as trolleys, vacuums, and chemical bottlesAttending work punctuallyNotifying Manager of any required changes to roster with a minimum of 2 weeks’ noticeFollowing Hotel fire and safety proceduresMaintaining the required standard of personal cleanliness, appearance and conduct as determined by the HotelPerforming other duties as directed by the Housekeeping Manager or SupervisorDesired Skills/Personal Attributes:Communicating with guests and acting on requests and complaints promptlyAchieving the quality standards required at hotelsCoaching and training team membersFollowing correct OH&S proceduresDisplay positive and proactive attitude at all timesA customer service focused mannerA commitment to quality and an eye for detailSense of urgency and results focusContinuous improvement focus
