ConsultANZ is looking for an accomplished Senior Project Engineer with strong expertise in pavement and road construction to join a leading national civil contractor based in Sydney. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer to lead major infrastructure works and oversee the successful delivery of complex pavement projects across the region. About the Role Lead pavement and surfacing operations on major infrastructure and regional projects Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and site teams Manage project planning including resource allocation, labour, plant, and scheduling Deliver works to meet safety, quality, program, and financial objectives Serve as the key interface between clients, consultants, and subcontractors Ensure all activities are conducted in line with health, safety, and environmental standards Oversee budgets, cost control, and financial forecasting throughout project delivery What We’re Looking For 6–8 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally specialising in pavements and roadworks Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field Proven history of managing pavement projects from design through to completion Previous experience with reputable civil, surfacing, or asphalting contractors Strong technical understanding of pavement design, surfacing methods, material specs, QA/QC, and testing procedures Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills A practical, solutions-driven mindset and the ability to perform in fast-paced environments What’s on Offer Competitive salary package: $120K–$140K Super Allowances, depending on experience Long-term career development with a respected national contractor Opportunity to contribute to high-profile civil and urban infrastructure projects A collaborative, professional workplace that values innovation, quality, and performance APPLY NOW if interested, or email marnel.labarosa@consultanz.com.au to hear more about this opportunity.
