We are looking for a passionate, qualified and experienced Full-Time Chef to work at Moons Fresh Sushi, Wollongong. We are an established and a busy restaurant serving our loyal customers since 2016.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Cooking food items and ensure food quality, portion control, presentation and consistency across all dishes
* Menu planing and pricing
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
* Manage stock levels, monitor supplies, and placing orders
* Communicating management on profit margin, estimating food labour cost, and negotiating with supply orders.
* Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to maintain quality and service efficiency.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours.
Requirements:
• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Must have 1 year of work experience.
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Preferable)
Schedule:
• Rotating roster
• Weekend availability
