We are looking for a passionate, qualified and experienced Full-Time Chef to work at Moons Fresh Sushi, Wollongong. We are an established and a busy restaurant serving our loyal customers since 2016.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Cooking food items and ensure food quality, portion control, presentation and consistency across all dishes
- Menu planing and pricing
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and WHS requirements.
- Manage stock levels, monitor supplies, and placing orders
- Communicating management on profit margin, estimating food labour cost, and negotiating with supply orders.
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff to maintain quality and service efficiency.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure during peak service hours.
Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
- Must have 1 year of work experience.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Preferable)
Schedule:
- Rotating roster
- Weekend availability

Full time Working rights (Inside Australia Required)

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
