Job Opportunity
The position of Aboriginal Assistant Manager is available to provide leadership and management expertise to a multidisciplinary team in the Moree Youth Justice Community Office. The key objective is to contribute towards reducing re-offending of juvenile offenders and enhancing their functioning and/or reintegration into the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain relationships with the local Aboriginal community and key stakeholders to successfully deliver programs.
* Oversee the efficient allocation of resources and service delivery in managing a team, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
* Undertake ongoing performance management and development of staff, including youth justice conferencing convenors, to optimize individual and collective performance.
* Implement effective interventions to mitigate identified risks to community safety.
* Provide strategic decision-making at a management level to drive positive change.
* Ensure referrals to Youth Justice Conferencing are effectively managed.
Requirements
* Hold recognised tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education or related field or possess relevant experience.
* Currently hold a valid driver's licence.
* Hold a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
