Associate Director of Sales

to elevate our commercial success and shape the future of our hotel portfolio.

The Opportunity As the

Associate Director of Sales, you’ll design and execute the sales strategy for your portfolio—boosting presence, performance and profitability. You will source new business, nurture key client relationships, monitor competitor activity, and secure strong commercial outcomes.

You’ll collaborate closely with hotel operations and cross‑functional teams to ensure every client experience exceeds expectations—from first enquiry through to flawless event delivery.

What you’ll do:

Lead and implement sales strategy across MICE and corporate segments

Grow local SME, non‑national corporate and PCO accounts

Proactively prospect, convert leads and achieve sales KPIs

Analyse market trends, competitor activity and revenue performance

Develop annual sales plans, budgets and forecasts

Build strong partnerships with operations, marketing, PCOs and industry bodies

Manage VIP site inspections, events and local marketing initiatives

Represent the hotel at trade shows, sales trips and networking events

What you’ll bring:

5+ years’ experience in hospitality sales, meetings & events, or hotel commercial roles, including 2–3 years in a senior sales, business development or leadership position (e.g. Sales Manager, Senior Sales Manager, MICE Manager).

Analytical capability with strength in interpreting and managing sales data

Strong negotiation skills, resilience and adaptability

Confident presenter with commercial business writing skills

Demonstrated success developing and executing sales strategies

Extensive experience in domestic and international meetings, incentives and events

Impeccable attention to detail

Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, sales‑targeted environment

Strong presentation skills and immaculate personal presentation

Outstanding communication skills – verbal, written, and active listening

A valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle

Unrestricted work rights in Australia, with eligibility to work without sponsorship
