The facility employs over 500 employees, operating 4 days/week.About the RoleThe Townsville Plant is a fast-moving, high-volume food manufacturing facility where short and long-term plant availability, reliability and capability is a priority.
Following safe work practices and procedures, the Boiler Attendant is responsible for the safe and productive operation, monitoring and basic maintenance of two steam generating boilers, steam distribution system and hot water systems and equipment.Working Hours: Rotating Day and Night shiftYour key responsibilities will include:Operation of the plant's coal and oil-fired boilersOperation, monitoring, testing of boiler, condenser water and water treatment systemsCompletion of allocated maintenance tasksCompletion of plant improvement initiativesKeeping management informed of operation issuesStart-up, operation and shutdown of the coal and oil boilers as requiredMonitoring and the testing of boiler safety systemsTesting of boiler water for conductivity and regulate chemical dosingOther responsibilities as directedAbout YouQueensland License High Risk Work Boiler Standard - EssentialProven experience to undertake minor maintenance work on relevant plant/machineryAbility to monitor equipment and adjust where necessaryExperience in the operation and maintenance of steam systems within a manufacturing environmentWhy work for JBS Australia?
