Start the year in an exciting, hands-on role where you'll ensure every Haigh's product meets premium quality, safety and compliance standards. You'll observe, monitor and maintain manufacturing processes and documentation, collaborating across teams to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the factory floor, working with diverse teams and making a real impact on product quality and safety every day.
This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–10:00pm, based primarily at brand-new Salisbury South Complex. Occasional travel to other Haigh's sites may be required. You will report to the Quality and Compliance Manager and work closely with Production Managers, Supervisors and other departments to maintain the highest quality standards across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Quality and Compliance Manager to maintain and improve the Food Safety and Quality Documentation System.
2. Inspect and test raw materials to ensure they meet required quality standards.
3. Monitor intermediate and finished products to ensure adherence to quality specifications.
4. Maintain food safety, hygiene and compliance with procedures and work instructions across the factory.
5. Calibrate and maintain measuring and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
6. Work closely with Production Managers and Supervisors to optimise production processes while managing risk.
7. Support a safe, compliant and collaborative work environment by identifying and addressing health, safety and maintenance issues.
About You
8. Experience in QA within food manufacturing.
9. Certificate IV (or higher) in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology or equivalent work experience.
10. Knowledge of HACCP, document control, audits and compliance systems.
11. Confidence working with production teams and managing quality records.
12. Strong attention to detail and the ability to act decisively.
