About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Fiberglass/ Composites Technician to join our production team. This hands-on role involves supporting the manufacturing of high-quality fiberglass components while maintaining a safe and efficient factory environment.
Working closely with our engineering team and team leaders, you will assist in the production process and contribute to meeting daily production targets. While fiberglass manufacturing will form a key part of the role, the position also involves assisting with general workshop tasks as required to support overall production operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform tasks involved in the manufacture and finishing of fiberglass components such as mold preparation, lamination, trimming, and finishing processes
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure efficient operations, maintaining a high quality standard and ensuring safety procedures and workplace protocols are followed
* Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines
* Assist with general factory duties and other production tasks as directed by team leaders to support overall operations
About You
* Previous fiberglass and composite experience in a factory, manufacturing, or production environment
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Experience in vacuum infusion
Qualifications (Preferred)
* Trade qualification in Polymer Processing, Composites (desirable) or;
* 3+ years' experience in composite/fiberglass/body kits within marine or automotive industry
