Job Description
Downer is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth, strengthen customer relationships, and elevate our brand across the Central West region of Western Australia. Based out of Maddington, this role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives on winning work, building networks, and representing a respected national business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic business development plans.
Engage directly with customers, conducting regular face‐to‐face meetings.
Lead the identification and creation of new business growth opportunities.
Report on client interactions and maintain accurate CRM records.
Partner closely with operational, commercial, and pre‐contracts teams.
Represent Downer at trade shows, local government events, and industry forums.
What You'll Bring
Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role.
A Diploma in Project Management, or relevant experience in marketing, estimating, or tendering highly regarded.
Strong negotiation, problem‐solving, and relationship‐building skills.
Confidence representing the business externally and strengthening our market presence.
Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across multiple teams.
A passion for driving growth and delivering exceptional outcomes for customers.
