General Practitioner - Toowoomba, Queensland Position Highlights: Competitive salary on offer (negotiable, based on experience & qualifications) Flexible hours can be negotiated with the successful applicant Work in a fully supportive environment No afterhours, on call or shift work Well respected and established practices Employment Type: Permanent –Part Time 32 hours per week Practice Information: This private practice operates in 2 suburbs in Toowoomba. They are mixed billing practices using the same database. However, they do bulk bill patients under 16, patients with a current concession card, and DVA card holders. The position will include sessions to be worked at both locations. The practice team currently consists of 6 fellowed GPs, 3 GP Registrars, and one full-time doctor on the FSP program. Their support staff include 1 nurse team leader, 3 RNs, 3 EENs, 1 practice manager, 1 office manager, and 6 receptionists. The practice also has a visiting Paediatrician, Dietician, Physiotherapist, and Psychologist. Both practices have a pathology collection centre onsite and a pharmacy next door for convenience. Their practice is committed to providing high-quality, holistic care. Services include, but are not limited to: Skin cancer medicine (skin checks and minor procedures) Antenatal and postnatal care Workplace medicals Travel, childhood, and adult vaccinations Chronic disease management Wound care Health assessments Mental health management They also offer home visits for patients well known to the practice who require palliative care support or are physically unable to attend. One location operates on Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, providing access for patients unable to attend during the week or requiring urgent care. Currently, doctors work one Saturday in five. Both practices are closed on Sundays and public holidays. There are no after-hours commitments for employed doctors, as after-hours calls are managed by the principal doctors. Position Description: Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referrals Manage investigations, results, and maintain accurate clinical records Work collaboratively with the practice team to support patient outcomes Adhere to professional standards, clinical guidelines, and practice policies Participate in CPD and ongoing professional development Ensure ethical billing and timely completion of administrative tasks Provide patient-centred care with strong communication and professionalism If you are considering working in the Toowoomba region, you are welcome to visit and view the facilities at both practice locations.
