Project Architect – Melbourne
Hill Start International Pty Ltd, a specialist recruitment firm, is representing a nationwide provider of specialist design, construction and fit-out solutions.
The client has a proud 30-year history and a well-established internal design team of eight.
They are experiencing a sustained increase in the number of projects and have engaged this recruiter exclusively to find a talented and creative Project Architect to take responsibility for the entire design process for clients across Australia.

Manage the entire design process to create fantastic workplaces for clients – end-to-end solutions from concept through to construction.
Provide architectural designs for construction and fit-out projects across Australia and manage projects across all stages from concept design to full construction documentation.
Develop internal and external concepts, including architectural plans, floor plans and associated services with a focus on quality design.
Produce documentation throughout the design delivery process.
Work with the Design Director to ensure accuracy and quality of project designs and documentation packs for the internal construction team.
Use Revit.
Maintain and develop client relationships, coordinate and attend client meetings, and present documentation packages for client review.
Liaise with external consultants, engineers and project managers and prepare and submit detailed designs to local authorities.
Qualifications
Degree or higher tertiary education in architecture.
6+ years of quality architectural experience gained in Australia.
Experience in retail, commercial, industrial, office, education or healthcare projects will be especially of interest.
Proven ability to work with the builder on design and construct projects; demonstrated capability to ensure project designs are accurate and ready to be built.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced work environment.
Advanced skills and experience with Revit.
Good understanding of relevant building codes and regulations in Australia.
Eligibility to work within Australia.
Location and Travel
The role will be based at the Melbourne office close to Southern Cross station with weekly work from the Geelong office as required for client meetings.
Occasional travel to client locations across Victoria and Australia is expected.
Salary
Estimated remuneration is in the region of $90K to $120K plus super, commensurate with experience.
