They are looking for a 3D Designer to join their team.Position TermsFull-time permanent role, hybrid workingSalary: $100,000 - $110,000 plus superThe RoleAs a 3D Designer, youll play a pivotal role in the team, not just by delivering strong 3D design work but also by guiding Mid and Junior Designers daily.
Youll often act as a Creative Lead on specific projects, taking direction from the Design Director (and/or Creative Director) and collaborating closely with the Producers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the best quality the project allows.Advanced ability in Vectorworks 3D modelling and visualisation and detailed documentation in sheets, full Adobe suite, with a key focus on Photoshop, Microsoft Office, AI software.Proficiently navigate cross-studio remote workflows, proactively seeking feedback, approvals, and guidance from stakeholders while effectively reporting upwards.Promote and support the highest possible level of creative excellence achievable within available budget and time.Drive and deliver innovative creative responses for recent business pitches without overcapitalising resources.Receive and interrogate briefs and develop design solutions to solve key business challenges/obstacles.Decide on the detail of the creative response, from conceptual sketches through to high-quality renders.Prepare detailed working drawing packages including plans, elevations, details, schedules, drawing schedules etc.Receive/develop site surveys and prepare site-specific documentation.Oversee projects on site and at prototype stages to ensure design intent is being met.Develop high-end/contemporary conceptual ideas and solutions.Curate sample or mood boards to communicate design intent.
Consider materials and costs according to budgets.Oversee and approve graphics, materials, fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing including physical samples and prints from the wider team(s).
Provide consistent, enthusiastic and motivational design leadership to the 3D team if required.The CandidateThe successful candidate will have previous experience working in 3D Design within the events industry.
Advanced ability of Vectorworks 3D modelling and visualisation and detailed documentation in sheets, full Adobe suite, with a key focus on Photoshop, Microsoft Office, AI software is essential for this role.Excellent drawing skills, including hand sketching to communicate ideas.A solid understanding of the BCA and other relevant building and safety regulations; knowledge of the wider construction and design industries.The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines, as well as manage others.Advanced organisational skills adhering and promoting company protocol and systems.Excellent communication, negotiation and management skills.Team working, in order to work with a range of other design streams.The ability to learn and develop new design and construction techniques based on practice and research, and the ability to deploy them appropriately across projects without overuse or duplication.The enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills within the AI sphere of visualisation and communication.Ability to work from the office at least 3 days a week.For more information regarding event positions follow us on LinkedIn and/or Facebook at Apex Event RecruitmentPlease note that this role will be subject to background checks and you must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.3D Designer permanent role for an Events Agency based in Melbourne on a salary of $100k - $110k plus super.
