Job Description
You will be responsible for leading the Investment Operations function, managing a small team member, and ensuring accuracy in unit pricing. You will oversee regulatory reporting, investment manager due diligence, and contribute to strategic improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership and Management: Oversee the small Investment Operations team to ensure efficient daily operations
* Daily Investment Operations: Execute investment instructions, including trades, account set-ups and closures and fee payments, in addition to the management of the daily portfolio rebalancing process
* Custodian and Administrator Oversight: Oversight of daily cash flow and unit pricing between fund administrators and the custodian
* Due Diligence and Fee Management: Conduct initial and ongoing reviews of externally managed investment managers' operations
* Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all activities meet investment mandates and regulatory requirements
* Regulatory Reporting: Compile and deliver RG97 and other required reports to stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
7-10 years in investment operations, ideally with at least 5 years from Superannuation
Experience with third-party management (administrator and custodian, in addition to experience with regulatory reporting (RG97)
Capability in building effective stakeholder relationships and owning processes
