The Site Engineer will play a key role in supporting site-based operations by ensuring QA compliance, managing delivery documentation, and assisting with the coordination of day-to-day project activities. This role is ideal for an engineer with some experience who is looking to take the next step in their career within a dynamic and hands-on environment.
Your day will involve:
Quality Assurance (QA)
* Implement and monitor QA processes in line with project specifications and standards.
* Conduct inspections and document results to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
* Coordinate and review quality checklists and ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
Delivery Dockets & Materials Management
* Manage and reconcile concrete delivery dockets and materials supplied to site.
* Ensure accuracy of deliveries against purchase orders and project requirements.
* Maintain a register of all deliveries and track material usage.
Project Coordination
* Assist the project team in coordinating trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and project documentation.
* Track project progress and provide regular updates and reports.
* Attend site meetings and assist in daily planning to ensure program timelines are met.
Technical Support
* Interpret construction drawings and specifications to provide accurate site set-out and guidance.
* Support problem-solving on site by liaising with consultants, engineers, and stakeholders.
* Maintain up-to-date records of site documentation, including variations and RFIs.
Safety & Compliance
* Promote and maintain a safe work environment in line with WHS regulations.
* Ensure all site activities comply with relevant legislation, codes, and industry standards.
What are we looking for?
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based role, preferably within the concrete or civil construction industry.
* Sound understanding of construction QA processes and project documentation.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
* Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic project management tools.
* White Card and valid driver’s licence required.
