Morgan McKinley is partnering with a Non-Bank Lender looking for a Team Leader, focusing on Consumer Credit within the Asset Finance team. This is a hybrid role, with 4 days to be based in the Sydney office. This role will own the consumer asset finance space, bringing recent, hands-on market knowledge to uplift performance and manage a high volume of deals, including significant refinancing flows. As volumes grow, the position will evolve into a senior leadership remit, offering the opportunity to hire analysts and transition into a management-focused role. You will be responsible for ensuring all lending activities remain compliant while driving the strategic development of the consumer finance division. Responsibilities: Manage a consistent flow of consumer asset finance deals, with a specific focus on high-volume refinancing. Prepare and approve applications within set delegations while escalating matters that fall outside of personal authority. Lead and upskill the credit team, with the future responsibility of hiring and onboarding new analysts as the department expands. Ensure all services align with National Consumer Credit Protection and AML/CTF/KYC regulatory frameworks. Use hands-on market expertise to improve credit processes, KPIs, and service level agreements. Requirements: 3-5 years of experience in consumer credit, including holding a DLA of at least $150k and proven experience in a leadership role. Recent experience in consumer asset finance structures such as chattel mortgages, novated leases, and secured consumer auto loans. Knowledge of the Australian regulatory environment and a degree in Business or Accounting is desirable. Advanced skills in financial analysis and interpreting complex financial documents like tax returns and P&L statements. The company provides continuous learning and growth opportunities. The business has excellent culture, with great collaboration and a friendly team. Whilst you're required to be in the office for 4 days a week and 1 day from home, they are very flexible!
