In delivering these services our key aim is to support Business Units in achieving their strategic goals including amongst many things, operating within their respective Risk Appetites.See yourself in our team:We are looking for a Compliance professional to join the Compliance Assurance team supporting the IB&M and Group Treasury businesses. The Compliance Assurance team is responsible for providing compliance assurance, monitoring and advice on relevant Compliance rules and obligations, and oversight of the Compliance Risk Management Framework. This role will also provide compliance advisory support to the Group Treasury business.Your day could look like but not limited to:Compliance AssurancePlanning, executing and delivering the annual compliance assurance plan, on areas of Australian and international financial services legislation.Execute Line 2 reviews and provide credible challenge on applicable policies, processes, procedures, controls and testing.Identify and escalate issues, and concisely draft findings, conclusions, impact ratings, and remedial actions of any areas of identified deficiency.Report on the results, trends, issues and themes to senior management.Build and maintain strong relationships and collaboration with various key stakeholders across the business and support functions, including senior management.Group Treasury ComplianceProvide pragmatic day to day Compliance advice on policies, regulation, regulatory reform and business change.Advise the business on key areas of applicable rules and interpretation of obligations.Provide advice and challenge to Line 1 and business stakeholders on whether the Group Treasury business is appropriately meeting its compliance obligations.Assist in incident management, breach identification and breach reporting, as well as responding to regulatory notices or other information requests.Participate and contribute to other IB&M and Group Compliance initiatives and projects (e.g. Policy improvement or training initiatives).What successful candidates look like?We are seeking a motivated, flexible team player who can be accountable for their outcomes with the following skills and experience:Experience in Line 1 or Line 2 Compliance or Operational Risk roles within Institutional Banking and Markets. Legal, Audit or Regulatory experience in this space also considered.Knowledge of Institutional Banking, Markets, Treasury or OTC related products and obligations preferred.Proven skills and knowledge of the financial services regulatory environment.Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience in communicating, providing credible challenge and influencing peers and senior management.A commercial mind, able to balance Compliance and business goals.Experience in project management, training, business investigations and analysis.Proficient in report writing.Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement.Working at CommBankAt CommBank, we support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half their time each month connecting in office.
