Entertainment Medical Doctors and Specialists – Expression of Interest
Join the Hemisphere Medical Network (Australia – all areas)
Are you a doctor looking for interesting, meaningful work alongside your existing practice?
Hemisphere Medical is seeking experienced, adaptable doctors to join our entertainment and touring medical network, supporting artists, performers, and crew across Australia.
This is not a traditional clinic role. It’s a unique opportunity to work behind the scenes of live entertainment, providing discreet, high-trust medical care that helps keep shows on the road and people doing what they love.
Why Entertainment Medicine?
As a Hemisphere Medical Doctor, you play a quiet but critical role in the live music and entertainment ecosystem.
When an artist faces a health issue on tour, your expertise can be the difference between:
* a managed recovery,
* a cancelled show affecting thousands of fans and hundreds of workers.
Your role extends beyond artists to include crew and touring personnel, supporting the physical and mental demands of long days, travel, irregular sleep, and high‑pressure environments.
You’ll be trusted to operate with discretion, confidence, and adaptability, often in fast-moving and unpredictable situations.
This is meaningful work, done well out of the spotlight.
The Role

There is no minimum commitment. Some doctors do a handful of shifts per year; others like to be more regularly involved; others prefer to only be contacted about specific engagement types; or practice in a specialty area (e.g. Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Paediatrics) and are willing to be contacted for time-sensitive or urgent consultations or advice, with capacity to prioritise same day or next day review when required.

Diversity, Inclusion & Representation
Hemisphere is proud to support a diverse, inclusive medical network that reflects the artists, crews, and communities we serve across the entertainment industry.
We strongly encourage expressions of interest from:
* Multilingual clinicians, as we regularly support artists and crew who speak languages other than English
* First Nations doctors and specialists
* Doctors from diverse cultural, ethnic, and lived-experience backgrounds
* People of all genders, sexual orientations, faiths, and belief systems
Given the diversity of the people we care for, clinicians must be culturally sensitive, respectful, and comfortable working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences.
We believe diversity strengthens clinical care, builds trust, and enhances the quality of support we provide across the entertainment industry.
Hemisphere works across the live entertainment industry, supporting major promoters, tours, festivals, and touring productions throughout Australia.
We do not publicly name individual artists or high‑profile clients. Artists, performers, management and crew are treated no differently to any other patient or client, with professionalism, discretion, and respect for privacy.
From time to time, Hemisphere may reference tours, festivals, or events, re‑share posts or share general feedback from promoters, tour managers, or production teams. These references relate to the services provided, not to individual artists or specific patient interactions.
Being part of a trusted clinical circle requires clear professional boundaries at all times. This is not a fan experience, but a serious medical role grounded in ethics, confidentiality, and trust.
Payment & Engagement Structure
Hemisphere Medical engagements are paid, professional roles delivered under clear clinical governance and commercial frameworks.
* All work is paid at set hourly or sessional rates
* After‑hours, late night, weekend and public holiday loadings apply when applicable
* Engagements are typically billed as company or independent contractor services
* GST applies on relevant services if you are registered for GST
Rates vary depending on:
* type of engagement (on‑site, telehealth, tour support)
* timing (standard vs after‑hours)
* Invoicing is straightforward, with transparent payment terms and central coordination through our operations team and twice‑monthly supplier payments managed by our accounts team.
Full rate details are provided during onboarding and aligned to the type of work you choose to accept. This is not volunteer work – your expertise, availability, and discretion are valued and respected.
