We're looking for a skilled and motivated Hydraulic Hose Technician or experienced mechanic to join our client's team and deliver high-quality service to their clients across the Hobart and surrounding areas.
As a Hose Technician, you'll be responsible for the assembly, installation, and repair of hydraulic hose systems both in the workshop/warehouse and on-site. This is a agile role that combines technical expertise with customer service, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and install hydraulic hoses and fittings to specification
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic hose failures on-site
- Operate hose crimping and pressure testing equipment
- Interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
- Provide responsive mobile breakdown service to clients
- Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety protocols
What You'll Bring:
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of hose types, fittings, and compatibility standards desirable
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A current driver's license (essential)
- Relevant trade qualifications or experience in a similar role (preferred)
- White and Hi-risk cards
- Computer basic knowledge
